- What is the name of your business?
Buchinger Wilhelmi Institute is the world’s leading clinic for therapeutic fasting, integrative medicine and inspiration with two main locations, one at Lake Constance and one in Marbella.
- What initial challenges did you encounter that lead you to research air purification solutions?
During the Covid-19 Pandemic our clinics remained fully operational with plenty of guests looking for a healthy and invigorating time-out from their day-to-day routines. To guarantee a safe and hygienic operation in all public and common areas of our clinic, we decided to research mobile and medical air purification solutions for rapid deployment.
- What made our solution stand out over others that you researched?
aeris aair Purifiers stood out from the competition because of their elegant appearance, their unmatched and certified air cleaning performance, as well as their intelligent sensor-driven operation and connectivity.
- How many units did you purchase?
Altogether, we have purchased close to 40 aeris aair Medical Pro purifiers for our premises at lake Constance.
- How did you implement/introduce our solution?
Our facility management department worked closely with aeris’ Technical Support Team to generate a device allocation plan for the relevant areas at our clinic based on floor and HVAC plans. After taking delivery, the air quality systems were positioned and deployed as planned.
In terms of communications, our staff were briefed internally as to the new medical-grade air purification systems as well as their usage and technical specifications. For our guests we decided to mount wall and stand-up information banners close to the purifiers, indicating the presence of a “Purified air space” as well as further details regarding filtration performance criteria.
- How has aeris helped your business overcome your challenges?
aeris has helped us tremendously in reassuring our guests that we as a Clinic Operator have taken all necessary and relevant state-of-the-art precautions to maximise infection control on our premises. Especially at the cafeterias and restaurants, aeris purifiers contributed greatly to establishing a safe and hygienic environment, so that our guests could enjoy their meals and beverages with peace of mind.
- Can you share any metrics/KPIs that show the success you have enjoyed with our product?
Even though we did not record any firm KPIs, we noticed that the common and public areas at our clinic enjoyed higher traffic and presence of guests after the systems were deployed. Moverover, our staff was frequently approached by guests, who wanted to learn more about aeris purifiers.
- What have you been most impressed with?
In particular the sensor and ai-driven smart mode of aeris purifiers paired with the display of the US Air Quality Index was perceived as very unique and useful. Our facility management also really enjoys the aeris fleet management solution, which allows them to service and control all devices through a central interface.
- Is there anything else we should know about your experience?
Even though Covid-19 eventually subsides, we are considering to keep using aeris aair purifiers beyond the pandemic. Especially guests with asthma and allergies reported of great alleviation as to their symptoms. In fact, we may soon explore decking out all our rooms with aeris purifiers, and not just the common areas.
